At the Pediatric Group and families too, we think it is important to join with community health providers to find new ways to keep families healthy. We are currently working with the Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health to develop a parainfluenza vaccine.

Parainfluenza viruses can cause wheezing, croup and pneumonia in babies and young children. A nose drop vaccine is currently being evaluated that would help protect children against these illnesses.

Nurses helping with this study will be available at our offices if you would like more information. Participation is entirely voluntary, but if you are interested, we encourage you to ask your child's physician for more information, or call the Center for Immunization Research at (410) 502-3333.

Be instrumental in the development of RSV and Parainfluenza virus vaccines. Get the facts with this brochure about the Parainfluenza Research Study from the Johns Hopkins University.
