14 YEAR OLD CHECK UP

Dear Dr.Bear,

Are there any shots or anything that need to be updated for a 14 year old? My daughter has not needed tocome there lately, but I want to make sure she is not falling behind on anything. As of a year ago she current on all shots.

Sincerely,
Concerned Parent

Dear Concerned Parent,

The only immunization that we give after 10 years old is the TD booster for tetanus and diptheria. You should check your records. If she had a good checkup last year then, a visit every 2 years is what we recommend. If she is having any adolescent behavior or development issues, it is always good to have her in one time per year.

Sincerely,
Dr. Bear
